Friends of Stirling Carers
Friends of Stirling Carers is the new name for the individuals and businesses that support the work of the organisation through fundraising, donations, awareness raising and volunteering.
We’re building on our existing group of fantastic supporters to help us reach more Carers and to enable us to keep providing our vital services.
We’re looking for people who are passionate about making a difference for local Carers and would like to become more involved in the work of the Centre. Here are some of the ways you can do this:
Do you have skills and expertise that you would like to share?
We have opportunities to volunteer across all our services. If you’re a people person, then we’re always looking for volunteers to help run our groups and peer-support services.
Would you like to be a part of our fundraising efforts?
We’re looking for people to take part in challenges, organise fundraising events/activities, put out collecting boxes, and have great ideas of how we can raise extra funds for the Centre. See below for some of the current ways you can help.
Would you like to support the work of the Centre financially?
Stirling Carers Centre is a charity, and relies on donations from trusts and individuals to continue providing its services. Individual donations provide, on average, around £2,500 per year towards our services.
Do you own a business or work for a company that would like to support us?
We are growing our base of businesses who make a commitment to supporting local Carers through financial or in-kind donations, and by raising awareness of Carers in the workplace and with customers.
We can support you in return by offering advice and resources to help you become a Carer Friendly organisation.
Could you share information about our services in your community?
We’re looking for people to help us reach ‘hidden’ Carers and communities.
Unfortunately, we can’t be everywhere at once, but Carers are. This is why we need people who live and work in communities to reach the Carers around them.
